Welcome to the home page of East Cheshire & South Manchester Wing Air Training Corps. Here you will find information about the wing and the 24 squadrons that we support including the wide range of activities that we offer.

With the cadets, staff and our civilian committees there are more than 1000 of us on the wing and our locations are spread from the centre of Manchester down through East Cheshire to the Staffordshire border. As you will see on these pages we are active in a wide range of sports, we are engaged at all levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme and we take part in adventure training from rock climbing to ski-ing, canoeing to abseiling, mountain biking to scuba diving and much more. And of course we fly! Our cadets all experience powered flying and gliding and many have the opportunity to learn to fly solo as they advance in the organisation.

The facilities available to cadets are all modern with high technology training aids and simulators and our staff are all trained to instruct in their own specialist areas. We pride ourselves in providing all cadets with leadership and management training and valuable qualifications such as BTEC.

Our motto is “With Loyalty I Serve” and here on EC&SM Wing our talented and committed staff team work hard to deliver a superb standard of training and real adventure to all our cadets.
